What is A CSA?
CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. By purchasing a "share", you are investing in our farm. In return, we provide you with a weekly supply of fresh vegetables and herbs. This program allows us to have financial capital early in the season for seeds, marketing, equipment repair, new tools, etc. By owning a "share" in our farm you take on some of our risk. We are not immune to crop failures due to natural disasters, pests, plant diseases, etc. However, becoming a CSA member has real benefits for you. Your veggies are reserved and we promise that you will always get the best of our farm each week. This is the best way to help us build and sustain a locally owned business. Being a member of a CSA helps you eat seasonally by supplying you weekly with the best of what is regionally grown. The CSA program is the backbone of our farm. Agriculture and farming is more than just a business for us. We value growing food that supports healthy lives and healthy ecosystems! We love being interactive with our members and seeing how local food can benefit all of us.
How our CSA works
This year we are shifting our CSA flow to better reflect our typical flow of abundance. The “main season” CSA will begin mid April - mid August. We will take 6 weeks off and then will open our “fall'/winter” program which will run October - January. If you would like to purchase a full year you may do so and receive a 5% discount for both seasons.
What to expect
At Sweeter Days Farm we focus on growing the highest quality vegetables selected for flavor and nutrition. Our box is appropriate for families or for couples who eat vegetables regularly. If it’s just one person, you may consider splitting your share with a friend.
Each week is valued at an average of $35/week which includes a small admin and supplies fee. This means that at every pick up you will receive a diverse and abundant box valued anywhere from $30 - $40 in produce. Over the course of the season we promise that it will be lots of bang for your buck! If you’re curious what to expect in your shares, here is what folks received in the 2024 boxes (linked). It won’t be the same this year but it’s a good example of what you can expect!
For the sake of total transparency we have chosen to not grow several crops this year in an effort to minimize our crop plans and streamline our efficiency. However, we may purchase some items from time to time from other local farms who we know and trust to be doing an excellent job with their growing practices. Whenever this happens we promise to be fully transparent about our sourcing.
Boxes will be pre-packed and we will have them ready for you at your chosen pickup location (see below for more details on pickup locations).
pick up locations
The Clarksville Downtown Farmer’s Market: 1 Public Square, Clarksville, TN 37040 : Saturdays, 8am - 12pm (because our CSA will begin before the Clarksville Farmer’s Market opens we will find another location near downtown for these drop offs or you are always welcome to come to the farm)
SANGO LOCATION TBD: TIME?? Thursday afternoon??

faq
How much is the CSA?
Our main season share is $560, which translates to an average of $35/week for 16 weeks. If you choose to sign up for both the main season and fall/winter shares the total will be $1,060 (which is just over a 5% discount). Discount codes CAN be stacked if you are also active duty military.
Do you offer payment plans?
We can take full or half payments at the time of sign up. If you choose to pay in 2 installments, the second half of the cost will be due on week 8 of the CSA program.
What if I can't make it to a pick up?
Please coordinate with a friend to collect your share or let us know that you would like to pick up your share at our farm cooler. All boxes are still eligible to be picked up until Tuesday of the following week. Boxes that are not picked up will not be refunded.
What about your add ons?
We will not be offering mushroom or honey add ons this year.
What if I get deployed or PCS/ETS?
Let us know ahead of time and we can arrange a prorated fee for your share or refund the portion of the season you will miss. We love working with military families and understand the logistical challenges and will be flexible to your needs.
Do you offer discounts for Active Duty military?
We offer a 5% discount for active duty families! Reach out and we will send you a discount code.
Testimonials
What former CSA members have said about their shares…
“Your produce was unfailingly fresh and delicious and gorgeous…“
“Your CSA program far exceeded our expectations! We decided on a whim to put some of our stimulus payment toward a share, not expecting much because of family member's poor experiences with other CSA programs, but thinking that at least the money would go to a good cause even if we did not gain much from it. We are so grateful to have had the opportunity and taken the chance, and we have been amazed by the variety, quality and amount of vegetables each week; your consistency and reliability; and the value for the price…”
“I cannot thank you enough for sharing your love of great gardening. I so enjoyed all that you grew. I also enjoyed trying the new veggies that weren’t in my weekly rotation. You opened my eyes and pallet to a whole new world of veggies.”
