*******A FEW CHANGES FOR 2019******

In order to make our farm more sustainable (in terms of finances and labor), we are eliminating a few crops from the CSA that we grew last year to simplify our lives. We will probably not grow brussel sprouts, edamame, melons, leeks and possibly a few other things. If we grow corn it will only be once early in the season. This will allow us to focus on crops that you requested more of in our 2018 year of end survey.

Saturday pick up will be 8-12pm (not 8-1pm) - This is because Clarksville Downtown Market sometimes closes early due to hot weather.

What is CSA?

CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. By purchasing a "SHARE" you are investing in our farm and in return we provide you with a weekly payout of fresh vegetables and herbs. This program allows us to have financial capital early in the season for seeds, marketing, equipment repair, new tools, etc. By owning a part "share" in our farm you take on some of our risk, we are not immune to crop failures due to natural disasters, pests, plant disease, etc. However, becoming a CSA member has some real benefits for you:

1) You will get the "first fruits" of every harvest - meaning all our best produce will go to members

2) Your fruits/veggies/herbs are discounted (For example we sell shares at a rate of $30/week but you will receive more than $30 worth of produce)

3) Every member will receive a Sweeter Days Farm tote to pack their shares in.

4) An invitation to our Fall Harvest potluck party at the farm for a full farm tour, dinner and live music.

5) The satisfaction of helping build your local food economy and supporting sustainable agriculture!

How our CSA Works

Our CSA model is a "pack your own". We will have crates full of available items with detailed instructions. For example: in the summer we may have out crates of lettuce, kale, tomatoes, eggplant, bell peppers, cucumbers, summer squash, green beans, garlic scapes and the instructions will read "Full Share = 2 lettuce, 2 kale, 5lbs tomatoes, 3 eggplant, 4 bell peppers, 2 cucumbers 2 summer squash, 1 quart green beans, 5 garlic scapes ". There are several benefits to the "pack your own" model that we have chosen. It eliminates our packaging costs (and therefore reduces waste). You have a chance to select individual items you would like (maybe you like skinny eggplants, or maybe you want larger zucchinis for making bread).

We recommend the Full share option for families or for couples who eat a lot of fresh produce and the Half share for households of two or fewer people.

Payment options:

Cash or check (email sweeterdaysfarm@gmail.com) for more instructions

Credit card/Paypal through our website

If you are unable to pay the full amount we would be happy to set up a payment plan for you.

ex. Full share 1/2 due March 1 ($300)  and 1/2 due June 1 ($300)

If you are active duty military and have a scheduled PCS/ETS or deployment for 2017 we can modify the end date of your Share and price it accordingly.

Cancellation policy: If you are unable to pick up your share, please have a friend coordinated to pick it up for you. If you are unable to pick up your share - please let us know 48 hrs in advance and we can arrange for you to pick up your share at the farm. With so much to coordinate this season we appreciate your assistance in helping us keep it all organized!

This is truly an investment in our farm. We ask that you stick with us for the whole season. If you are genuinely dissatisfied with our CSA program and decide to cancel, we will refund you a pro-rated amount. .
